WebRTC Raspberry Pi Intercom

WebRTC can provide full duplex low latency (< 0.3 sec) video and audio for Internet and local network based intercoms.

In most cases, web browsers are the endpoints that display the video and audio in addition to connecting a video camera and microphone. Examples can be seen at https://webrtc.github.io/samples/.

The Raspberry Pi, and other small low cost computers (e.g. “Embedded Linux”), can also act as a WebRTC endpoint with a HDMI monitor for reception and a video camera and microphone for transmission.

We can now perform added value functions such as AI based audio and optical classification, access control, proximity sensing, and other control applications.

Demonstrations can be scheduled by sending an email to WebRTC@OTTStreamingVideo.net?subject=Demo-Request.
