3D design is performed on a Linux Ubuntu desktop computer using the following open source programs:
- Blender 3D modeling and animation
- Inkscape scalable vector graphic (“SVG”) design, including conversion of photos to SVG polygons for use in Blender
- Cura 3D Slicer and 3D printer control
Cameras, sensors, GPIO, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS422, USB, and other peripherals can be incorporated in Raspberry Pi and Arduino 3D printed custom ABS plastic cases.
